I am 47 years old, married with 3 children.  Since leaving school I have has various jobs.  When I had my 2nd and 3rd children I became a stay at home mom.

 

After a visit to a salon in 2017 for cellulite reduction, I got inspired to enter the world of Beauty and Aesthetics.

 

In 2018 I studied my VTCT level 4 in Laser and IPL  treatments.  The following year I purchased an IPL machine and converted my dining room into a salon! I began training various other beauty treatments; Lash Lifts, Facials, Waxing and Massages to name a few.

 

I started to build a small client base, then we were hit with COVID and Lock Down! Over the next 18 months I was open, shut, open and shut.

 

Finally when the world began to recover, I restarted my journey.  I began to train more in the aesthetics side, Vitamin Injections, Microneedling, Dermaplaning, Fat Dissolving Injections and Skin Boosters.

 

I have continued to build my client base, working part time.  Now my children are older I am ready to pursue my career full time.

 

In December 2024 I moved from my dining room to my new garden salon outside, which was my husbands lockdown bar!

 

This has been completely renovated, it provides me with much more space including a reception area.  I am really excited to see what the future holds with my beauty business and have so many ideas.

I am continuing to work on my self development and keeping up to date with a very fast paced industry.  My aim is always to be the best I can be and provide my clients with a friendly atmosphere and amazing service.

 

In August 2025 I was ranked 21st in the UK for Best Home Salon of the Year at the Hair and Beauty Awards, which I am very proud of.
